Valescure or Vallis Curans (Valley of Healing) well deserves its qualitative reputation.

This area, came to Lord Ashcombs attention at the end of the last century, as he was impressed by the mild climate and the majestic umbrella pines and he built up on the heights of Saint-Raphal, the first golf course in the Var and the sixth to be created in France.
